This time we’ll be covering the Novo 4 Kit by SMOK. The Novo devices are user-friendly because they always use fixed coils and without any adjustments. However, things have got slightly more complicated on Novo 4, read on to find out.
SMOK Novo 4 Kit is the latest in the Novo range of pod kits. For the Novo 4, you have removable coils – which are slightly more difficult for newbies but the bonus is that there is less waste and coils are cheaper than full pods. The Novo 4 uses the “LP1” coil range and there are 3 kinds of coils to choose from: 0.8ohm LP1 mesh coil (2 included in the kit), 0.8ohm LP1 dual wire coil (available separately), and 1ohm LP1 dual wire coil (available separately). Thankfully the coils have a simple push-in and pull-out installation and SMOK have added extra seals to help prevent leakage.
The Novo 4 pods will hold up to 2ml of your own e-liquid and a side fill port takes care of refilling. If you find the standard tinted pod is too dark there is an optional clear pod which you can purchase separately. The main device has an 800mAh internal battery which is charged via the USB Type-C port at up to 0.74A. SMOK states that in 90 minutes you can fully charge the mod. A small screen displays your user data and you can adjust the output from 5-25W to suit the coil you have installed. A dial is located on the front of the mod to adjust the airflow to suit your preference.
