Eleaf is a huge vaping brand and need little introduction and their Pico range of mods have played a part in most people’s vaping journey. So today we’re going to be going over the latest Pico product: iStick Pico S Kit.
For starters, the Pico S just looks like something entirely different. The mod itself is basically a two-piece design. Rather than using the usual Pico top-loading battery chamber, the entire battery chamber comes off to load the cell, then screws snugly back into place in the slot. The rest of the 100-watt Pico S is equally sharp, with smooth machining and error-free ergonomics. 25-26mm atomizers fit comfortably on the 510 connection, but be wary of where the airflow slots line up since the battery sleeve could potentially block smooth airflow.
One highlight is the ELLO Vate tank, which doesn’t offer much to owners of today’s leading 24-26mm sub-ohm atomizers but is certainly a much nicer throw-in than most. Where the Pico Resin’s limp MELO 4 tank barely qualified for inclusion in the box, the 6.5mL capacity ELLO Vate is a much better “me too” tank than I ever expected it to be.
The coils in the kit are the HW-N (Net) and HW-M (Multi-hole) which are mesh style coils. So,let’s talk about the taste. The 0.2ohm Kanthal “Net” coil head is recommended between 65-75W, I started off a 65W and not much happening really, up to 70W and am getting lots of vapor but even with the airflow almost closed still little flavor. I wanted this up to 75 and 80W and this is getting warmer. The clouds are excellent. As ofr the 0.15 ohm Kanthal “Multi-hole” coil head, which is recommended between 70-80W, that super wide airflow does give great clouds but I just find this a dry sort of vape which feels cool and lacks flavor sadly.
In general, this is a good one. I’ve been rocking this thing for over a month now. Love the kit. Love the way it feels in my hand. This is probably my favorite Pico out of all of them. The only real major thing that’s wrong with it is the threading on this tube. Could have been better. It takes a little while to get it to catch, sometimes you actually got to push it down a little bit. But this time, Eleaf do a good job on this one.
