2018, it was the airflow year of the vape tanks. It seems that each new product uses a different airflow design, trying to strike a perfect balance between smooth inspiration and amazing taste. Some designs do a good job, others are very bad. Today we will make a comparison evaluation about two RTA which have unique airflow: Footoon Aqua Reboot RTA and Augvape Intake RTA.
The first one is Augvape Intake RTA.
Intake RTA is a single coil atomizer with a diameter of 24 mm, it uses a more complex design, two 3 mm diameter tubing on the Intake RTA transfers air from the top directly below the coil, essentially making it the RTA from top to bottom airflow. The only thing the vapor needs to do is align the airflow tube with the two holes under the rotating chamber cover. In order to solve this kind of problem that the top air intake will cause top-heavy imbalance, the designer still has a good solution, such as the height of the tip drip is obviously reduced, and the top cap is cut and slimmed.
About the Intake RTA’s performance. Due to the complex top airflow, the richness of the smoke is quite good under the premise of opening small air intake holes. The multiple fruit reduction is more realistic and layered. Even in the case of full opening of the air intake, there is no significant decrease in the richness of the smoke, but the amount of smoke is greatly increased.
The second one is Footoon Aqua Reboot RTA.
As a product from the Korean company, it just looks so neat and well put together, all the threads and airflow adjustment are super smooth. The supplied drip tip also has a slight flange which sits over the top of the tank so with another drip tip you will have a slight ledge. There is an oddity about this tank, which is the crazy airflow system, Basically, it uses a radial disc below the build deck to adjust the airflow. The disc has cutouts and by using the little lever on the side you rotate the disc to open and close the airflow ducts in the deck. The airflow is fully adjustable with the tank assembled. Some tanks which sit really flush with a mod I often find it hard to turn the airflow ring if it snags against the top of the mod. This design means you won’t have that problem.
About the Aqua Reboot RTA’s performance. It has a soft inhalation and the taste of the smoke is very clear. Compared to the traditional adjustable intake air, the Aqua Reboot RTA expresses a cleaner, more pure feeling.
